This blog is part of Kevin Mahoney's ENG 023 College Composition courses for spring 2006. One of the key issues that is raised by our current culture is the status of on-line and collaborative writing. This blog will serve as a class journal of sorts. Here we will respond to readings, other students, and begin to form positions and arguments. We will also consider the broader "public" that will have access to what we write.

Mitt Romney Rhetor came off to be cocku as he expressed his passed accomplishments. But he emphasized great sportsmenship by crediting Obama and other candidates of the election. The audience was attracted to him and what he had planned for America if he was elected. The camea was positioned directly infront of him so his supporters were visible. And for the text, the subheadings were comprehensive and and his voice was clear and prevaled.
hes the only one that is not behind a podium. it makes you feel like he is one of them. the pretty much bashes the whole government. he doesnt say it in a good way, his speech is very negative. he has people in the front and in back of him. he kind of stereotypes all americans the same. he says that ALL americans believe in god or some higher thing. but not all of them do. no wonder he got second place. his speech was the shortest. he really didnt say much at all. it made it seem as though he had nothing to say and thats not good
I actually liked Romney. I liked how he mentioned the other candidates and also how he thanked the people. I also liked how he spoke about everything the government said they will do and what they haven't done. The audience was both infront of him and in back of him. They had flags and cheer sticks. Most people were older but there were a few little kids in the front.
In Mitt Romney's speech the first thing I noticed was that he seems to have his family with him surrounding him. This shows that he is a family oriented man. The next thing I noticed was that he wasn't standing behind a podium which helped him make a connection with his audience. He was very thankful in his speech and acknoweleged the other candidates. He also mentioned thigs that were promised to us a people, but were not done. I noticed that although he did mentioned them he didn't necessarily say he was going to do the things promised, to me he was just emphazising these things so people could assume he is going to do something abou it.
I liked Romney at first, until he started talking about what Washington didn't do. I figured he would start telling us about how he was going to explain how he was going to get things going in Washington, but nothing. He feel short in my eyes and I stopped listening.
