This blog is part of Kevin Mahoney's ENG 023 College Composition courses for spring 2006. One of the key issues that is raised by our current culture is the status of on-line and collaborative writing. This blog will serve as a class journal of sorts. Here we will respond to readings, other students, and begin to form positions and arguments. We will also consider the broader "public" that will have access to what we write.

McCain's Rhetor approach was slightly bweak..He only appealed to the paeople of the city but what about the other city's in the surrounding world who need to tremendous attention and help. His audienced was appealed and drwn to him because their city was the topic of the conversation but as for some like me(philadelphia)I was distanced from him.And the camera was floor positioned, viewing the pople standing around with their camera cell phones tapimg McCain. As for the text im really speechless to that, No comment.
the people in mccains speech are in the front. i think they do that as a symbol of the people come first. he talks as though he is above the other people though. his speech is so wordy and it doesnt feel like he is relating to the average american. he only really taled about that state. the crowd is young even though hes really really OLD.
McCain's speech didn't really focus on the United States as a whole. He basically only talked about the state of
New Hampshire but he did mention about defending America and restoring trust which I do agree with. He was dressed professionaly. The audience is young and infront of him with their cell phones out.
John McCain's speech seemed to be geared towards New Hampshire. It also seperated him from his audience. For one you can't see the faces of his audience only hands when they were cheering or taking pictures. Another thing he did was use a lot of I's and me's this seperated showed that there was no personal connection between him and his audience.
During McCain's speech he focused a lot of attention to New Hampshire, noone else. In one of the first few sentences he had to back-up that he is not saying what the people want to hear, but his believes. He spoke about himself a lot, distanced himself saying he was part of the government. Also it seemed like the audience was staged.(However, maybe I just don't like McCain)
McCain speech seemed very un practiced and he had to look down at his note cards alot. He talked about what he beliefed i think way to much in stead of what the people wanted or wanted to hear. The audience was not as hyped up but he did have american flags in the backround, which showed his patriotism. He talks about that we have been lied to by bush also.
McCain's speech seemed like he didn't know it very well. He kept reading and looking down and didn't look up much. A few times he did mess up. His audience was not as excited as some of the other speeches.
